The Textbook of the Universe: The Genetic Ascent to God

This book describes a new theory of the origin and purpose of consciousness, and binds together all abstract thought in history into a coherent framework. Then it presents a model for explaining the binding problem via glial cells (and the physics of time), which necessarily interface with and affect neuron function. Further, and most importantly, a powerful new methodology for getting real useful information about consciousness is presented by using probabilities and the analysis of meaning. Many examples are presented from years of doing this new method.

1Racism Warning  Jan 06, 2009
This author is profiled as a racist hiding behind the mask of a scholar, by many reviewers. I was disgusted by his review on Dr.Spencer's "Journey of Man". Why is Amazon.com supporting this person? What subject, Brains? I don't know what his credentials are, but there are other ignorant or racist people supporting him. Do yourself a favor and please do not waste time on people who are blatantly racists.

it's great for my bi polar depression i listen to it in audio form when i ride my bike. it really is a new framework for understanding everything well i've never had anyone present anyting to me that they claimed to be a framework for understanding things but its great and new to me now lets just have a release of all the supressed technologies so i can move about the earth without getting my hands on fake paper dollars and expose my eyes to all of the grand patterns of the universe for now the internet is enough to keep me alive

5negative reviewers didn't read this book  Apr 23, 2008
Don't be put off by the negative reviewers, they probably just stumbled upon this page through some unrelated amazon discussions. Notice how this book either gets five stars, or it gets one star. This book has a true scholarly spirit, and will really inspire you to want to absorb as much knowledge as you can. It's too epic, so i won't even speak about it. It's one of those things you just have to try for yourself.

1The Most Stupidest Thing I Ever Read!!!  Jul 06, 2006
This is by far the most stupidest book ever written. I think most reviewers have already said what there is to say. This book is about HATRED and nothing more. I also read the author's review on the "Journey Of Man" here in Amazon, where he said 99.5% of all the arts and music came from Europe. As a historian I can only laugh at this statement! - Asian countries like India & China were the cultural centres of the world. India is the bithplace of language and music. It is from India where Europe learned that it is a good idea to have a bath more than once a year!! This man surely knows nothing about history and this book proves he knows nothing about science either!

All human beings were black once. Our color differences come from adapting to various climates. And if this man hates black people, he is not a human being!!!!

5Read This Thoughtfully  Jun 29, 2006
Half way into this book I wasn't sure if it was the work of a crackpot or a genius. Upon finishing it I concluded it was much more the latter. It is truly unlike any book I've ever read. It was difficult to read, but there was always a sense of something big emerging. Somewhat distracting were the author's claims of profundity. Though perhaps true, they were off-putting to others to whom I showed the book. Two other distractions, especially to those I tried to interest in this book, were the numerous typographical errors and amateurish cover design. I suspect that the controversial nature of the author's thesis precluded publication by a major publisher whose budget would have taken care of these problems. This is all the more reason to read it. It's hard to summarize the ideas because they are presented on such a large scale. Yet, I found myself almost trembling with excitement as, for instance, the conflict between religion and science was resolved in a unique way. There was nothing at all in the book that sounded like hate. Often, however, the author spoke of love, especially love of truth. My sense is that this man has paid a price for saying what he thinks. My hope is that his book will gain the wider readership it deserves.
