The official description of this book belies its simplicity and accessibility. Whilst it's true that the book *does* "... reveal truths about personal and professional outcomes in the business experience using the metaphor of the Theatre medium," it does this by telling a story, rather than by giving a list of dry instructions.

So, at one level, you could look at this book as a brief (only 100 pages) story about a struggling consultant who meets an amazing builder who introduces him to some loopy people who help him to discover more depth to his life. As a work of fiction, it is certainly interesting, entertaining and easy to read.

However, I think the book's value lies in the fact that it is not just an entertaining story, but uses the vehicle of the story to show the journey of one man (the main character, Neil) who is enabled to find his own 'life story', through the encouragement and mentorship of another man (Jack), who in turn has been mentored by another man ('The Don'), and how the metaphor of theatre and acting is used and applied to the search for personal meaning and identity.

I suspect many people will find this book thought-provoking and useful in helping them to find their own story and life journey.
