A Riveting Adventure Mar 23, 2009
By Anathaniel Wallace
"Nosidino"
This book touched me in such a way that it is hard to describe. The excitement I felt in the non-stop action drew me in to all of the characters. Ramagar and Marianna are a fantastic couple that join forces with a deposed prince. Along the way they meet a hermit/farmer who joins them in a quest to liberate an oppressed people.
I could not get enough of this book and I truly wish that there could have been a sequel produced. Diamond created a world we barely get to see in The Thief of Kalimar. As exhibited by the map, there were more places than could be adequately described in one volume. The storyline is perfect for a sequel--perhaps not with the same characters, but other people. There are other denizens in this wonderful world created by Graham Diamond that I want to meet; I would love to see other adventures in his created fantasy world.
A. Nathaniel Wallace, Jr.

What a nice surprise Jun 18, 2001
I am so pleased that I received a new copy of Diamond's Thief of Kalimar. It was a favorite of mine two decades ago almost, when I was in high school. I bought it (again) and reread it (again) and still loved every minute. I hope one day to find a sequal. Keep up the good work!!

A Must Jun 17, 2001
When I was in the 9th grade this book appeared on our school reading list. I never forgot it. It was my first introduction to Arabian Night's storytelling. Graham Diamond spins this kind of yarn better than anybody. The hero and heroine are two of the most beloved characters I've ever known. So now I recommended it to everyone everywhere.

GREAT Jun 21, 2002
By Rodney L. Tate I READ THIS BOOK WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT AND LOVED IT BUT LOST IT. I AM GOING TO BUY IT AGAIN. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO TAKE THEMSELVES TO ANOTHER PLACE AND TIME AND FOLLOW THE HERO ON HIS JOURNEY. I'D LIKE TO SEE A MOVIE BASED ON THIS BOOK!

Quite possibly the worst book I've ever read. Mar 11, 2006
By L. Chandler I'm generally pretty reluctant to complain about books, but... the characters are wooden and unsympathetic, the plot is unbelievable and contrived, and the dialogue is forced and poorly written, among other besetting sins. By the end, I almost wanted the protagonists to fail. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy this book unless it's to see what not to do when writing a fantasy novel.
