The Tower, Demon Claw May 17, 2006
By Choche1961 Outstanding reading material. I have read all of the authors books, and each one is better than the previous book. Full of action and suspense. I recommend this book to anyone wishing to read a good gripping suspense filled story. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down, until I read it all. Great book.
Master Story Telling May 15, 2006
By Texas Flood Author, writer, and master storyteller, Pete Macias, has done it again. In his newest work, The Tower: Demon Claw, he has managed to do what he strives for in every effort of penmanship, he puts the reader in the middle of the action. As he has been quoted as saying: "you are there". The Tower: Demon Claw is his newest story of good versus evil. The story is set in the small town of Wishing Wells. A small town that has seen its share of change through the decades. Change for the good. Or is it? All the characters in this story are diverse yet they all have one constant, like the town they all inhabit; they seem to be coping with change in their lives. Whether they have put past behind them with a new identity (Jerome), trying to set up a better future (Wendy & V), or when the past has come to haunt them (George), this change in the town and the characters takes the reader in a wild ride that will only leave them wanting more. Pete Macias has written an awesome story that intertwines beautiful imagery, with the horrors of evil. Making for an unlikely combination that works perfectly. It works so perfect, that the reader will in fact "be there" .
Reminiscent! Apr 23, 2006

A real time line is woven into this reminiscent story of every town. Displaying the heart of many a small town`s growth with a touch of familiarity! "This was a town that flourished in the 1950`s and 1960`s...had its share of proms and dances..." I am enjoying the detail in how changes came throughout this era and affected the people as a whole. This particular town IS different though..It is growing around an old forgotten tower! Come and see what happens in this town`s not so distant future...when "a dark and present force decides to pay a visit." !
