Review of The Upward Spiral by Dianne Purdie Sep 20, 2009
By Dianne Purdie This is a very positive and inspiring book that tells the stories of three women who attend an inner guidance retreat together. Each woman has her own section of the book and the retreat is described from each individual's point of view. They each have their own story to tell and are at different places in their personal and spiritual development. They each had their own challenges, (weight, divorce, becoming a widow, husband having an affair, career choices etc). Each story I read, I found myself identifying with that character for one reason or another. It becomes evident what we all share as women and how one woman's story becomes every woman's story. This is also taught in the book as part of the retreat (how the collective history of humanity affects us all) along with intuition and listening to your inner guidance and the reader learns along with the characters as each character takes a different seminar at the retreat. The nice thing about this book is that each character has one or more breakthrough that changes her life for the better. All three of them had situations that unless looked at from a positive and joyful perspective could just as easily have brought them into despair. A very good read for the beginner on this path as well as the already enlightened.
Amazing book Jun 29, 2009
By Tulin Etyemez Janet Cunningham wrote very joyful book which is reflecting our lifes. I read the book in very short time. It gave me an understanding how we can change our lifes and the universe is working for our spiritual growth. I suggest her other book A Tribe Returned also for other readers. Tulin Etyemez
