The West Coast Trail: One Step at a Time

This life changing backpacking trip, on the West Coast Trail, begins with a wistful remark in a coffee shop and ends with a book full of belly laughs. The author takes us on the real life journey that challenges every part of himself and then sprinkles his book with enough insight and information to make the reader feel like they are on the trail with him. Mr. Bannon inspires his readers to look for their own fun, challenge and adventure in a style that keeps us turning the page to see what happens next.

3Very entertaining and informative  Jun 24, 2010
By Jim from Red Bay
Bob Bannon seems to have enjoyed his trek on the Western side of Vancouver Island on the West Coast Trail. The many personal anecdotes are funny and informative. Since, we have experienced some of the trail I found the book a good starting place for folks to get an insight in potentially walking this trail. Reading First hand accounts are the best way to gain insight into a future hiking trek.
Cheers it was a fun read. Good Job Bob.

2Not a trip guide  Feb 02, 2012
By Kamusbagus
A couple of guys having an epic midlife adventure. Not a great read and definitely not a guide for the walk itself. Good on them for the effort and writing about it but I wouldn't recommend buying it.

5Funny, exciting, though provoking!  Sep 22, 2008
By L. Bannon
I've read this book three times. I must admit that I'm the author's wife, but sometimes the people close to an artist are the most critical. I really enjoyed this book. It's funny and informative, exciting and inspirational. Easy to read. Well worth it.
