Newberg Whispers a New World Dec 06, 2008
This is more than a book--it is an atmosphere. Newberg has breathed out a dream-like experience of depth and beauty. The small thumbnails you see on Amazon don't convey the scope and impact of Newberg's full illustrations. These must be seen to be believed. Each page is a celebration of individuality, harmony and truth. This is a book of restoration, bringing a fresh approach to a timeless secret.
Reminding one of the fantastic environments created in Broderbund's early games, Myst and Riven, this is not just a book but a journey. I would love to see Newberg illustrate the C.S. Lewis Space Trilogy, as his imagination and subtle touch of humor rival that of Lewis. Those who love the spell-binding books of Chris Van Allsburg should also get to know the cutting-edge enchantment of Chris Newberg. I would recommend it for older TESOL students. As intriguing as a whisper, Newberg's new book is a treasure to read again and again.

This book is excellent! The artist completely captured my imagination through his images and storytelling. I think this would be a great book for children and adults alike. The illustrations are unlike anything I have ever seen before, so creative and distinct from everyone else. I love it!

This book awe-inspiring for many reasons, beginning with the illustrations. The amount of detail put into every single image produced reflects the written story perfectly. Formal elements include great composition, beautiful bold colors, and a unique artist style. The written story is wonderfully told by the author, who is also the artist- making it even more enjoyable. The story itself is captivating and mysterious with playful rhyme. Overall, the book can appreciated for its illustrations and writing by a talented individual.
