The Witch with an Itch

The Witch with an Itch is Wanda's first adventure. She goes into the Deep Dark Woods to get into some mischief, but little does she know that the creatures of the wood have a trick up their sleeve too - Snickleberries! Poor Wanda finds out that these berries have quite a nasty side effect, and at the end of the day she seeks counsel from her wise old cat, Charky. The book was illustrated by Sarah Davis, a reknowned illustrator in Australia and other parts of the world.

The Witch with an Itch is a very sweet, enjoyable and lively story with great, colourful illustrations on every page. My niece and I loved our first outing with Wanda and the snickleberries and very much look forward to reading more of her exploits in the future. Highly recommended!

I read this book to my daughter's 2nd grade class and they loved it! The kids really enjoyed the story and the bright, colorful pictures. It was fun to see how the kids answered the question at the end. Each one had his own interpretation.

My three year old also enjoyed hearing this tale about a naughty witch!

I read The Witch with an Itch to my 6 year old daughter's First Grade class and they loved it! The illustrations are vivid and entertaining and the rhymning prose are fun to read aloud. I especially like the interactive ending, all the kids' hands shot up and they were keen to share their opinions on the moral of the story. Great fun and educational, I would highly recommend The Witch with an Itch to all discerning parents and teachers!!

5Bewitching tale!  Apr 14, 2010
By U. Asghar "Umbreen Asghar"
A great book for fans of magic, witches and sorcery. The rhyming tale tells of a young witch whose delight in causing mischief for others ends up in her comeuppance. The illustrations are bewitching, and bring out the characters and story. This was definitely one of my daughter's favourite books. For readers interested in magical tales, I have recently written a new children's fairy tale for young children.
