The Wizard Knight Companion: A Lexicon for Gene Wolfe's The Knight and The Wizard

The Wizard Knight Companion is a brief alphabetical dictionary for Gene Wolfe's two-volume THE WIZARD KNIGHT series. Its entries identify the characters in the novel, dive into the mysteries in the text, and explore the Norse, Celtic, and Arthurian sources for names and words in the novels. It includes a map of the region, a cosmology, and a synopsis of the narrative.

4Useful, but a bit disappointing  Jan 10, 2011
By A. Crow
First, this had some very insightful and researched info. It cleared up some of the story. That's always worth it in my mind, when dealing with G. Wolfe.

On the other hand, the "synopsis" was not great. It just restated what happened in short form, without explanations or why. I'm not sure why the synopsis is even included, it doesn't help.

The information on Mag, Huld, and Able/Arthur really helped me appreciate the story.
