Captivating... What Happens Next?!! Jun 18, 2006

The book, Wormwood Conspiracy, by Joel Pesce was very captivating. I am not a reader, but a friend told me about this book and I did read it and actually liked it. He writes very descriptive and expressionate that I could picture every thing that was going on in this Biblical/Fiction book.
I can't wait to see what happens next! And I concur with the other reviewers that this would make for a good movie.

THIS BOOK SHOULD GO TO THE BIG SCREEN Jun 05, 2006

First time author Joel Pesce writes an action packed biblical novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat!! You don't want to put the book down!!! Those of us that have had the priviledge to read this first book can hardly wait for the sequel. The descriptions of the scenes in heaven and conversations between angels and the Lord Jesus are so detailed and descript. The author will also make a good script writer for this book to go to the big screen!!!

If you are looking for something to read on a rainy day or just would like something intresting to read this is your book. Also, I think this book would make a wonderful movie.

Fabulous book !! Normally it would take me forever to get through a book. I could not put this one down! The author did a wonderful job, had no problem keeping my interest, and I can't wait for the next book to follow.
Am I even reading the same book here? May 21, 2008
By Danielle This book may very well have a stunning premise and riveting action, but I'm finding it hard to get beyond the stilted, amateurish dialog. The author also chose to use third person present tense, an odd device to use, especially in this sort of story. The net result is that it comes off like something an eight-grader might write:
"A woman's voice is heard, painfully crying and sobbing, as she holds her head in her blood stained hands. "Heee's dead! Uhhhhh! Heeee's dead! My son is dead! Please take him down, take him down!"
"The old man thinks himself rude to the Tender, and hopes he might get another chance to talk to him and explain. The old man hasn't spoken to anyone since his journey through Italy. He begins to reminisce."
Before buying this book, I strongly suggest that you read an excerpt first.
