The book annual report writers have waited for is here. Apr 28, 2009
By Sam Harrison I wrote my share of annual reports back in the day, and I sure wish this book had been around then. It would have saved me lots of false starts, unfounded fears and foolish mistakes.
I searched for such a book back then, and, yes, there were plenty on the topic of annual reports. But those books all focused on the design of annual reports or the science of annual reports or the interpretation of annual reports. Not one in the bunch gave meaty guidance on how to sit down and write the darn things.
Robert Roth to the rescue. His resourceful book provides a step-by-step guide on how to conceptualize, research, outline and write a great annual report. And, best of all, it's an easy, enjoyable read. An experienced writer of annual reports and other business communications, Roth delivers the material with a conversational tone and simple-to-follow steps.
It's a book every annual report writer should read and keep close.
