Apparently a very interesting book, but there is one important detail that really needs to be registered. Mr. Storm, also known as William Joseph Trumpower, has been listed in the POW Network site as a poser, who does not have the medals and experiences he has claimed. A simple search on his names will bring up the links to his deceptions.

5Bravo, Bravo  Apr 17, 2007

I read this book with more enthusiasm the second time than I did the first. Finally a book written not necessarily for the Vietnam Vet or any other Vet for that matter but for his folks, friends and relatives that seen a boy go off to war and return torn and withdrawn by the citizens of this great country. This book will help those understand possibly what it was like to have their friends turn their backs on you in their time of need. It truly is " A BOOK TO HEAL and INFORM ".
Thank you Elliott

1Another Vietnam book by a faker  May 20, 2010
By Hurly "hurly"
This guy inflated his rank, service, and apparently his disability (P.O.W. Network).
He earned his purple hearts and did serve in RVN, but that wasn't enough! He had to inflate his service and medals. Another Stolen Valor case. This guy deserves contempt not money.

5Read this book  Apr 18, 2007
By Josh Doty
It is very difficult to put into words how I felt after reading this book. The book is a page turner and an easy read. However, it is the "hardest" easy read you may ever experience.

Elliot Storm brings the reader on a roller coaster ride of the effects of one young Marine Lieutenant's experiences in during the Vietnam War and his return home after his tour of duty. This action packed story is not for the faint of hart. Be prepared for the horrific details of modern combat, the shameful treatment of veterans upon their return home and those events lingering marks on the souls of those that fought the war "in the bush." This is not a Hollywood depiction of lost dreams, coming of age or a romanticized cliché we have grown accustomed to about this subject. It is not a political commentary on current events set in a historic context that is so common today. It is exactly what it promises to be; it is a "Novel Written to Heal and Inform."

I give this book 5 STARS! This is an excellent book about young soldiers going off to war. The story gives you insight on what they experienced during their tour in Vietnam. This is a MUST read for anyone who has PTSD. You will be able to relate and heal by reading this book. Buy his cd with the special effects and you will feel as if you are actually there. Barb
