This Progressive Nothingness

With a cover capturing both the bleakness and endless potential of arid and open spaces,Renita Gibler's fine book of verse,"This Progressive Notingness",is immediatly intriguing. This volume of poetry and long thoughts(a term coined by Gibler to describe her more narrative forays into short form)is an emotional portrait short on sunshine and long on langour, a stark landscape of the American heart.

This book had many points and glimpses into life that I could identify with. I liked the way the author shares her interpretation of lifes movement based on our choices and on the disappointments of the heart. A very unique and artfully expressed foray into love, dissapointment and crystallized moments in time celebrated by its purposeless, Heroclitian motion.
