This Too Shall Pass: Marcia's Life

My name is Sophie W. Miklos. I was born and raised in a small town in Transylvania, Romania. In 1949 my husband, Andrew, and I immigrated to the United States. After a few years of hard work, we started a furniture factory in New York. After managing our business successfully for fifty years, we retired to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We have a married daughter and two grandchildren. I have also published “Paper Gauze Ballerina” and “It Couldn’t Happen To Sonia.” My husband and I are indebted to this country for giving us a chance to realize our dreams. The freedom to express my feelings in writing and sharing it with the public is the greatest gift I have ever received.
