Suspense, Romance, and Humor...Oh My! Jun 23, 2009
By Stevie Oz
"Mystery Lover"
G.L. McCarthy has done it again! In her most recent installment, we follow the girls to a dude ranch where some find love and friendship, and still others find dead bodies and spirit guides. With her customary wit and insight, McCarthy paints realistic character relationships, at times prompting this reader to cry aloud in alarm, "That happened to me!" This time, she ratchets the suspense up a notch, for an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride. Overall, a highly enjoyable read. Again, I am left waiting eagerly for the next installment.

Thunder Mountain Ranch Jun 12, 2009
By Dixie Neal G.L. McCarthy is well on her way to writing a wonderful story of several characters in her books. After reading Taylorwood, I bought it. Then bought Thunder Mountain Ranch. As Alex begins to relax at the ranch her mind wanders back to Taylorwood. Such terrible events had taken place and she had almost lost her life. Now here in New Mexico with her best friend and her husband she could sort out her past. Thunder Mountain Ranch has it's own intriguing spiritual storyline. Alex had severed her ties in a long but dormant relationship. She wasn't looking for anyone in particular.
As she visited with her friend she found out that the new hired hand was her best friend's cousin. Alex was introduced to Sam, short for Samantha and the adventure begins. Thunder Mountain Ranch will not disappoint you and you'll be carried along several character story lines and the impact this author brings to life. Love, trust, spirits and exceptance is very empowering in this book. I await G.L. McCarthy's next book with baited breath. Romance abounds.

By Glenda R. Klein I have read both Taylorwood and Thunder Mountain Ranch. I loved the main character Alex and her quest for finding the perfect partner for her. I enjoyed the story from beginning to end. Both books I found hard to put down. The author did a great job in creating her wonderful characters. The books are a must read!!!

After quickly finishing Taylorwood, I couldn't wait to start Thunder Mountain Ranch to see what Alex was going to get into next. Boy, what a wonderful surprise to see what happened!!! Can't tell you. . .you will have to get Taylorwood, then Thunder Mountain Ranch to see for yourself. If you have read Taylorwood, you are in for more of some of the best Lesbian writing I've read. It's a must read!!!
