What girl doesn't remember a brand new pair of shoes!! Nov 02, 2009
This takes me back to the time when my little girl was so excited to finally find her perfect pair of shoes and the love and excitement that I, as an adult, took for granted. Even today, as an adolescent, she gets excited about her shoes!! This book is such a joy to read--you can feel the pure innocence and excitement of a young girl's heart in this book. I love the pureness of this book!! Doesn't hurt that it has rhyming words either..the girls I teach LOVE this book and enjoyed hearing about it. Our discussion over shoes has continued :-D

Simply Enchanting! Children and adults of all ages will love this book. Everyone at some point has bought new shoes and how special when your dad takes you for them.
I fully recommend this book!

This is a joyful recollection for young and old on buying your first pair of shoes. The authors vividly capture this memorable time in a little girl's life and the special memory she has of shoe shopping with her dad.I can't wait to read other books in the series!

A heart-warming story about a little girl going to the store and getting shoes with her dad. An easy to read book for kids that flows and rhymes from page to page. The illustrations are wonderful and simplistically detailed that will grab the attention of your child as you read the words. Makes me think about the time I went to K-mart to get my first pair of converse all-stars back in the day. I sure hope the authors have more to come and build on "Today's the Day"
