50 can be even more than nifty! Nov 20, 2009
By John Oglesby Sharon Simmons has written an exciting book for those who have just turned 50 this year (like me), and likely for those that passed that threshold quite some time ago. Her photos are helpful, but her insight on her success, her ideas, and suggestions are hard hitting, reasonable and quite doable!
When you consider all of the things Sharon does besides her family and full time job, she does an amazing job of leading by doing, and telling us all how we can do so as well!
By the way, if you know someone who ACTS 50 or over, but are in there twenties, thirties, or forties, there is just as much value in this book for them!

Sharon ROCKS! Oct 19, 2009
By J. Klingler After reading Triple F You feel you know the author personally.Sharon effectively shares where she came from, who she was, who she wanted to be and what she wanted to accomplish in this life which not only builds a sense of trust with the reader, her casual approach makes you feel that the fitness goals you set for yourself are actually obtainable.I'm currently following Sharon's advice on nutrition and setting SMART goals in my life and I'm VERY excited about my personal progress!!

By Karen G. Neill This is an easy-to-read book with very practical information on how to stay fit and healthy into your mature years. Sharon has successfully translated her personal experiences into a very practical handbook on how to stay motivated and in turn accomplish your goals. Just look at her......does she look like she's 52 years old?

Don't Waste Your Money Aug 11, 2011

I had high expectations for this book and they were not met. Not even close. Unless you want to compete in body building events, the information in this book is absolutely useless. You are far better off buying Pamela Peeke's books on nutrition and fitness for women over 40. Simmons devotes basically one page on nutrition and it only discusses what she eats to compete. Oh, and you'll learn she loves blueberries. Big deal.
Waste of money. Waste of time.

Great health and fitness guide for all ages! Dec 19, 2009

Hi, I am Sharon Simmons -- author. Thank you so much for sharing your personal thoughts about your experience. I love it when I meet people at events that have read the book and hear their stories about the positive changes they have made in their lives as a result of reading the book. I was so excited when one of my readers started a workout program and combined it with a new business adventure. She also went back to school to get her degree in Wellness -- this is success. I recently met another reader at a large Vegas competition that couldn't wait to "meet the author." She had me sign her book backstage; she was a doll. My hope is that you'll also gain the knowledge and courage that you need to make changes in your life and in turn influence someone else to do the same. I have realized that I can achieve my dreams by listening to defining moments - you can too. I will never again allow anyone else to set my limitations. The book encourages everyone to "get it going on" and serves as an inspirational tool through passion and commitment. The challenge is for everyone to take a look at their lives and ask themselves "are you living your dream?" You have to believe in yourself and have faith and then "just go for it."
