Triple Treasures:: Our Journey from Infertility through the First Year with Triplets

With the advent of advanced medical treatments for infertility, the world has witnessed an explosion in the number of pregnancies of multiples. More and more families thus find themselves to be expecting not just twins, but also triplets and other higher order multiples. While many books explore the pregnancy and birth of twins, very few offer firsthand, narrative accounts of the pregnancy and birth of multiples greater than twins. Triple Treasures: Our Journey from Infertility through the First Year with Triplets provides such needed insight by chronicling the experiences of the author and her husband in their struggles with infertility through their first year of first-time parenthood to three babies, who all arrived at the same time.

4Triple Treasure  Jan 06, 2009
By Peggy A. Kirbo "Aunt Peggy"
Heartfelt account of a difficult time in a young couples life. Having children is something some of us take for granted. For some it is years of doctors, tests, disapointments and more tests. For these two it was a several years, specialists, high risk pregnancy doctors, and then triplets. I laughed with them in the book as well as felt emotions of concern and relief. A wonderful account from a non clinical point of view yet explanatory of differences in tests, why one over another and the results. Great account of "now what do we do...". For a couple facing childbearing difficulties it is an upbeat journal with a good ending. For couples that know they are having multiple births it is a laughable journey of two southern working parents and how they have and still are handling three treasures. I know them. They are my niece and nephew. I never realized until reading this journal how difficult from start to finish it was for them to bring into our family these precious babies.
