Troy the Boy Dachshund

This is the first in a series of short stories about a little black dachshund, called Troy. His home in suburbia South Africa is the setting for most of his adventures. The short stories that follow take the reader on a journey as little Troy grows up and becomes a valuable member of the family. The ongoing tale of Troy’s life and how he gains confidence in his abilities, the challenges he faces and the many lessons he must learn, creates a bond between the young reader and this lovable pet. The aim of these stories will be to encourage a child to explore their understanding of themselves and their relationship to others, and provide the chills with opportunities to solve a variety of problems; the scenarios also promotes abstract thinking and critical reasoning. This skills can be applied to meaningful life activities and help express their feelings about the social world.
