Truth Equals Justice: An Autobiography of A Co-Dependent Priest

Simply put, Truth Equals Justice: An Autobiography of a Codependent Priest by William L. Forst is a prophetic and poignant memoir of the author's life from his childhood through his priesthood to retirement. From his personal struggles with codependency to celebrations of his life within the Catholic Church, here is a man of ideals and indispensable hope. Truly visionary in his quest to advocate a return to "servant" leadership style, he first points the finger at himself to garner change in the Catholic community. Rich, heartfelt and refreshingly candid, his journey as a priest took him from a strictly submissive celebrant to an obedient yet self-aware cleric. Through nearly fifty years of service as a leader, he overcame codependent behavior and has a message for others: Be willing to think for yourself and be willing to love the church in spite of its shortcomings.

5Catholic priesthood--a candid and personal insider's view  Aug 12, 2008

Finished reading this book within 24 hours of its receipt. An introspective story of one priest's journey of faith and desperation. Should be required reading for every Catholic seminarian and bishop.

I picked up my mail from post office this evening and delighted to receive your amazing book. It really is meaningful and amazing. I have enjoyed the first 96 pages and am going to rest now, to let the thoughts and insights do some good to my spirit and mind. A really good job, impressive, and courageous. Thanks for the book and the sharing you've done in it.
