The keys to a better life. No kidding. Nov 16, 2009
By John Lo Definition: ' Fable:: a narration intended to enforce a useful truth.'
Useful truth is an understatement. This book, these authors, are fantastic. Valuocity is described as a fable for dentists. While it is true that there are many dentally related issues within the book, this book is about life. Dentistry is only the medium through which they tell the story.
Much like the books of Jim Collins, the lessons within apply to anyone, to any business, to any situation. Our core values, understanding who we are and why we do what we do is so important to every relationship in our lives. Marc and Mark are great storytellers, but as I read this, it feels like a narrative, a replay, like looking into the mirror. It is emotional for me, because I have lived, and am living this 'fable'. I hope it doesn't get pigeonholed as a dental book, because it's so much more than that. It reminds me of Hemingway quote:
'All good books have one thing in common - they are truer than if they had really happened.' This book rings true in every word. Buy it.

By Susie Levan A very interesting and useful marketing tool created in a fable format. I really like this book as a marketing and branding tool. Very well written.
Not Just For Dentists! Feb 17, 2010
By jennifer wolfe This book is fantastic! I'm in the financial industry and can boldly testify that it applies to my profession. It was so inspiring to me, I gave a copy to my manager and every client and friend that owns a business. If you truly want to rejuvenate yourself and your business, this is a quick and easy weekend read loaded with ideas. It's not the typical "how to manual" that's a great read but never gets you to take action. Instead, it's a fable that walks you through a life of a business owner struggling to keep his business in the economic downturn. It's so well written, you immediately connect with the main character. The book beautifully illustrates how the main character identified his areas of "weakness" and created solutions to immediately improve. Once you finish reading the book, your head is swimming with ideas to implement....and the book does a great job of walking you through taking that difficult step. Hopefully, the big corporations of America can find the time to read this novel. If you are a serious business owner trying to make your business better, you'll want to read this book before hiring an expensive consultant.
Valuocity -- Live your Vision! Dec 13, 2009
By Betty J. Louik Valuocity is an engaging and absorbing story for any business owner who wants to improve anything and everything about their business environment. Although a quick read, every page in the book serves as a step by step guide to clarify what might not be working and describe the changes necessary to improve the culture and profitability of the workplace. As a dentist in practice for 25 years Valuocity has become an exciting focus of our staff meetings to align our values and create a shared vision. Instead of dreading change we are empowered to make it happen. And our customers are taking note. An amazing book!

Valuocity-Buy this book! Nov 04, 2009
By R. G. Wilkins Many people are struggling in these difficult economic times. Dentists are among them. Valuocity is a book written for and about dentists. Drs.Cooper and Silberg use the power of a story to deliver a tremendous amount of valuable information and inspiration.
Valuocity contains so many great ideas, it is impossible to list them all. It delivers powerful lessons in leadership, ownership, accountability, and personal transformation. However, the most powerful concept for me is that the discovery, and living of one's Core Values can transform you from the inside out. As you begin to live and lead from your values, your practice will change in amazing ways. This book doesn't just tell a good story full of lofty ideas, it teaches you how to make the changes happen.
Valuocity is a great book. I highly recommend that you buy it, read it, and use it as a guide for your practice and your life.
