Get your kids to enjoy eating fruits and veggies! Aug 13, 2008
By C. Wong
"www.organicfamilymagazine.com"
I like to make my child's plate of food look exciting hoping to entice him to eat more fruits and vegetables, but my creativity ends with broccoli forests and ants on a log. I was thrilled to find Veggie Friends and Fruits Too!: A Children's Cookbook on Creating Healthy Snacks by Anne Legge. Ms. Legg is so creative with fruits and veggies. There are recipes and drawings of fruits and veggies cut up and arranged to look like various animals. For example there are instructions on how to turn a yellow pepper, green pepper, and a couple of olives into a beautiful butterfly. The pictures and text show exactly how to cut and arrange each animal taking the guess work out of the equation. Children are sure to enjoy making and eating these fun food creations.

Healthy eating habits are a vital thing to teach one's children at ages 4-10 Aug 09, 2008
By Midwest Book Review Healthy eating habits are a vital thing to teach one's children at ages 4-10. "Veggie Friends and Fruits Too! A Children's Cookbook on Creating Healthy Snacks" is a recipe book that teaches children how to create healthy and delicious snacks, rather than obesity-causing sugary and fatty foods. Featuring ways to create cute critters from nutritious foods, "Veggie Friends and Fruits Too!" is a wonderful giftbook for young people and a top pick for community library children's collections.
WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! Oct 14, 2010
By SAMANTHA I bought this book because I have two little girls that don't like to eat vegetables but what I got in return was a big disappointment. I thought that I was going to get a book with pictures of real food (fruits and vegetables) with different creative designs but all the pictures are drawings that look like a 6 year old made them. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone, you can get better information online for free, don't waste your money in this book.
