Vision in Light

Vision in Light is a journey towards self-discovery, told against the backdrop of gay America in the 1950s-1980s. It is one gay man's account of a life-transforming vision that allowed him to see his real, inner self as valuable to God. Growing up in the "I Love Lucy" world of 1950s California, the author experiences from boyhood a growing sense of social distance coupled with an unfolding and intense, inner spiritual life. His journey towards a reconciliation of his gayness with God is inspired by a vision he experienced in 1983. That vision is described in vivid detail and its lessons explored for the reader, who is given a series of meditations and affirmations to enable him to create his own vision of a new future. Written by an ordained minister in the new thought movement, this book is part autobiography, part self-help advice, but ultimately, is a love story based on that oldest of truisms about the healing power of love. Vision in Light envisions a peaceful and harmonious universe where all, gay or straight, are living the life of God.
