A Unique and Moving Set of Stories Nov 05, 2006
By John M. John Amodeo has created a realistic survey of the many types of characters who reside in today's changing Hell's kitchen. Each chapter is a vignette of a different character's dreams, hopes, accomplishments, and responses to the changes that have come to Hell's Kitchen during the past twenty years. Amodeo gets inside of the characters' thoughts, hearts and experiences to give the reader a desire to know even more about them. The book is also an easy, fast read. I recommend it to anyone who has lived in a neighborhood, whether it be in New York City or in any other neighborhood in America. Although the setting of the stories in this book is in Hell's Kitchen, the reader will definitely meet characters that he or she might meet anywhere else.
