5W.O.M.A.N. is a book I will cherish and share forever  Jun 28, 2009
By Marie Da Silva
W.O.M.A.N. is a magical book, a celebration of all women and a reflection of what it is to be a woman today. Gina Cloud tackles stereotypes and helps us redefine and rediscover who we are. She shows us the way to find self-confidence, the boldness to live life to its fullest and to its utmost vibrant. This is a book I will have in our library at the Jacaranda School in Malawi, for the women, young girls and men. The book is an amazing gift of empowerment and freedom.

I hope that women around the world will find a great deal of inspiration and wisdom in Gina Cloud's urging, confiding, and smiling voice. She is a sister, a mother, a girlfriend, a daughter, an ageless advisor who is telling the woman, know yourself, be aware of your powers, of your beauty, of your talents, of your sacred gift. A book I will read not just once.

Marie Da Silva, CNN Hero 2008, founder, The Jacaranda Foundation

5The Rosetta Stone to the Language of Woman  Jul 08, 2009
By Richard Bosworth
W.O.M.A.N. by Gina Cloud is more than good book, it is profound work. Filled with EQ (Emotional Intelligence), Gina has found the definition of being a woman which encompasses the balance of strength, feminine attributes, sexuality, and individuality. Although written primarily for women, men who want to unlock the Rosetta Stone to the language of their female counterparts, should not only read this once, but twice and study it. Women who think they are independent and strong, you may want to think about your own self-definition. Thank you Gina, W.O.M.A.N is important societal work, and long overdue in our ever-changing culture.

5A luscious blast of affirmation  Oct 09, 2009
By K. LaMothe
As soon as I cracked the binding of this beautiful book, I was inexorably drawn into Cloud's wild, warm, wonderful world of W.O.M.A.N. What a refreshing, affirming place to be! Cloud offers a "definition" of W.O.M.A.N. with poetic punch. You can practically chant the prose. Her rhythmic revaluations of the tired, woman-hostile stereotypes we can't seem to stop recycling are pointed and effective. It is such a relief and inspiring too to hear Cloud celebrate the *movement* of W.O.M.A.N.'s lives--bodily, emotional, and spiritual. And I was absolutely delighted to find someone who finds in dance as powerful a transforming, life-affirming practice as I do. W.O.M.A.N. is a book to en-joy!

5Great Introduction to Redefining W.O.M.A.N.  Sep 27, 2009
By Sammy Angels
I've been listening to Gina's radio show for a while now. I actually discovered her work through a forum designed for men. Which, as a man, naturally appealed to me.

Although Gina is a big supporter of the feminist movement, she has the courage to go deeper, to explore what women are really missing, and she finds answers both inside and out. For a long time I questioned the accomplishments of the feminist movement but Gina helped me see the value in it, as well as confirm what I already suspected: that there are aspects to women that have been not only suppressed and denied by men, but forgotten and hidden by women themselves. Parts that men often fear, parts that give the feminine its unique power and beauty. Dark sides as well as light sides, but all exquisite in their naturalness.

This book guides women back to themselves, and it does so in a very warm and personal style. It shows you where to look for the parts of yourself that you may have forgotten, neglected or hidden away, parts that may scare you even... As a man reading this book I very much appreciated the opportunity of reading about a woman's account of the feminine experience, it brought me alot of wisdom and insights. Certain parts even brought tears to my eyes. For example, I completely agree that a big reason why men have unconscious anger is that they miss the soft openness of the feminine in women today. I know I often do. I know it's there, but women seem to hide it, maybe because they've been hurt too much, or they believe they need to "protect" their power in a masculine way.

After reading this book you'll know that women have a lot more power than we seem to think. And I don't mean the power 'over' kind; I mean the power to change the world for the better, the kind of power that transforms ugliness to beauty, the kind that transforms hate to love. And that's what gives me hope for the future.

The only downside I found is that this book is just an introduction. There's a lot more to explore with the ideas presented here. Gina mentions this in the beginning of the book, but still, I was a bit disappointed when I finished the book so quickly and was left hungry for more...
Oh well, maybe that's a good thing, now I have lots of ideas to discuss with all the beautiful women in the world.

Thanks Gina!

5Like NOTHING you've ever read! A true celebration!  Aug 08, 2009
By Laney Needle "Love Good Literature"
The moment this book is in your hands, it has an energy of its own. Your mind heart and soul will be taken on a journey forever changing who you are, by helping women remember who we are.

In a time we have been told by society, media what to say, how to behave, how to think, what to wear, etc., Gina powerfully and refreshingly shares what it truly means to be a woman and embrace feminine aspects, freeing long held restrictions by women and men. Her work redefines us at our core -the root of our being offering us at long last the truth. W.O.M.A.N. allows us to remember that truth to the depths of our souls. What we have known for hundreds of thousands of years and somehow forgotten. It is in this magical journey that hope abounds as she invites us to return home inside ourselves.
