Great book! Apr 10, 2010
By Law and Order
"Vincent"
This is an awesome book! It is filled with great stories written by a seasoned and very accomplished Law Enforcement Officer and Executive. Agent Tabman shares with the reader plenty of examples of problem and crisis solving which he learned in his many years of service to both the FBI and the Police Department and how one can apply them to those problems encountered everyday in the business world. This book is a "must read" by all upcoming executives and those who face critical and important management decisions on a daily basis. Agent Tabman teaches executives how to safely go "Walking the Corporate Beat" by avoiding problems and embarrassing and tough situations. Thank you for your service to our country Agent Tabman!

Great Book Jun 16, 2011
By M. Lowe As a retired FBI Special Agent myself, "Walking the Corporate Beat", is a book I wish I had read before I retired from the FBI and joined the "corporate" world. I found several really powerful ideas for more effective leadership and management. Those ideas were reinforced by Tabman with some very good examples from his law enforcement career.
Throughout the text, Tabman provides real world practical examples for managers and worker bees alike on how to survive and thrive in the corporate world. Overall, it is an excellent book for any level of management. Easy to comprehend and covers a lot of territory.

Eye opening Apr 29, 2011
By Freddie J I read this after reading the author's new novel, Midnight Sin. This was a very interesting book. Tabman uses real stories from his experiences as a cop and FBI agent to show how quickly things can go wrong. The stories were pretty funny, making it a quick, fun read. It also gives you a few things to think about, especially when you read about cops and FBI agents finding themselves in tricky situations.

Enlightening Dec 20, 2009
By C. Loy As a career law enforcement officer who retired as a captain and now manages a regional office for a mid-size company, I find this book extremely enlightening. The comparison between law enforcement and private business and how the analagy can help managers is right-on.
