A thank you to the author Apr 22, 2007
By mzm6030 I would like to take the opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to the author for providing me with hours of entertainment. This is a book where you just have to read the next page before you can put it down and before you know it you have finished the book. I found myself laughing out loud feeling anxious for the characters while always looking forward to the next trial and adventure. A must read!

Thank You, S.A. Laughlin! Jun 07, 2004
Typically I am not a person who looks forward to 'Science Fantasy' novels, so it really surprised me to absolutely fall in love with this book...the characters, the adventures, the humor...I actually forgot where I was for a while and really lost myself in the pages of this book. A DEFINITE Must-Read!!

I normally do not like science fantasy but a friend recommend it and I am so glad she did. It is funny and moving a real classic to read over and over. Anyone who reads this will be hooked, I can not wait to read the next book.

By compulsive reader Great story that keeps moving at a good clip. Lots of action, lots of great characterizations and offbeat humor. One of those books where you keep thinking "Now how are they going to get out of THAT!" but, they do. It's also safe to let your kids read....no swearing, sex, or too much graphic violence....well, the bad guys (or things!) do get knocked off, but nothing that should give anyone nightmares.
Basically two police officers, Mac & Kess, are transported into another dimension, where they meet Amazon warriors, Elves, Dwargers and Dragons, as well as a whole slew of evil critters and monstrous demons. Not only that, but they have to deal with all kinds of magic, some good and some evil. As I said, a fun read.
