I love to travel and enjoyed reading about destinations from the viewpoint and approach of a travel professional. This book gave me a chance to reminisce about my own experiences and gave me ideas for new ones. The author gets below the usual tourist experience and finds the local flavor, including the regional attractions, the people and the cuisine. Cruises, Europe, and the U.S. (particularly California), are well explored.

Love this book, I'm not able to travel as much as I would like to but my Uncle Mel did such a wonderful job documenting the different places around the world that he and wife Kathy experienced. If you are looking for places to go read this!
