What Price Liberty

At the height of the 1967 Six Day War between Israel and her Arab neighbors, the U.S. navy intelligence-gathering ship, USS Liberty was attacked by Israeli air and naval forces, killing or wounding two-thirds of the crew. Israel declared the attack was accidental, but survivor Petty Officer Ben Coulter has proof that the attack was deliberate. Why would Israel attack a ship of its only ally in the Middle East? Coulter teams up with marine Lt. Col. Thomas Jackson and marine Sergeant Stefan Varek to learn the truth behind the attack. Joined by Coulter’s half- sister, Rachel Horowitz, and Angela Horvath, a shipmate’s widow, and assisted by a shadowy officer from NSA, they peel back the layers of deception until they discover the terrifying truth. Then they must deal with the consequences of revealing what they have learned. Set against the backdrop of a real-life military controversy, this thrilling novel exposes the evils of placing a political agenda ahead of truth, honor, and justice.

5Excellent second book  Jul 12, 2010
By Derek Firth
This is,to the best of my knowledge, Robert Drynan's second book.I fully enjoyed this book from start to finish and found many of the characters and their allegiances very credible. While I find some authors run out of story toward the end, this book held me all the way.

5A real page turner  Apr 04, 2011
By Beverly Kephart "Bev Kephart"
I couldn't put this book down from the first page 'til the end. Very well written and keeps your interest throughout. I can usually skim a book and get what I want from it, but I read every word of this book. It is so detailed and informative that you think it is a non-fiction book or..............maybe it is!!!!!????? Good job Bob Drynan

Drynan recounts an attack on the Liberty and recounts the underlying forces involved. Written with style and full of danger and international intrigue.
