Best Resource available Dec 06, 2010
By Rachel S. Latham As a wife whose husband suffers from PTSD, I went searching for resources to help me understand the myriad of issues we were facing. This book is absolutely, hands-down the best resource available. I needed a Christian perspective from someone who "got it". This book gives a very balanced view of understanding your soldier, while not minimizing what you or your children are going through. It gave me depth of understanding in what we were facing, what I could do about it, and also what I could NOT do about it. I refer to this book often as we continue down this dark road. I would highly recommend this book to anyone whose spouse is suffering from PTSD. Absolutely the best resource out there for understanding and working through it.
Excellent Dec 20, 2012
By military wife This manual is so excellent. As a wife of a soldier who has PTSD from combat and childhood abuse, this manual has been a wonderful resource. I recently finished a spouse support group that used this manual as a guide and it was a life saver. This manual is so well rounded, and addresses many issues that may not come up in a mainstream Christian atmosphere. I do appreciate that it is faith-based, but does not shy away from gritty topics. As a nurse, I have researched the topic of PTSD thoroughly and this book covers most of the physical components and treatment, while also addressing the needs of the support person, faith and military repercussions. Very well done: would recommend it to anyone with a spouse or family member who has PTSD. Although it comes from a combat standpoint, there are many aspects to it that could pertain to the needs of any support person living with a person with PTSD, regardless of the cause.
What few know about Warriors coming home from the front. Aug 08, 2012
By Tip Killingsworth After 42 years of pastoral ministry I ordered When War Comes Home, to help a young friend who has just returned from his first deployment to Afghanistan. As I began to read I appreciated the workbook format even though it is oriented toward wives of returning soldiers. Seeing the practical activities couples can do together and apart, really enlightened me. Most of us have NO idea how devastating military deployments are in young men's lives nor constructive ways of dealing with the psycho-emotional-social wounds no one usually sees. I highly recommend this book to ANYONE who cares for a soldier coming back after being in combat!

"Isaiah 45:3"
The Product itself I have only heard is great. I have not read it but purchased it to help a family I know that is struggling with PTSD. Hopefully it is an encouragement to them. The seller is great! Reasonable shipping time and dependable!

I ordered this book at the suggestion of my therapist who is a specialist in treating PTSD which my husband suffers from. It was used but it was in excellent shape. Any woman that has a combat vet for a spouse needs to read this.
