A nice read Jan 27, 2010
By Linsey "Where The River Meets The Sky", for me, has unfolded as a meditation. In sharing his insights it is obvious the author has pondered some of the deepest mysteries associated with the journey of spiritual enlightenment. As the author states the book does read with Gibran style. Quartieri's adoration of nature is vivid. His words offer praise of the forest as one might praise a lover. He has obviously found something in the silence of nature that we all seek and wish to maintain as we travel our own individuated paths. I wish this author the best of luck with his future writings.
Very Spiritual Feb 06, 2011
By John H Hatfield Jr Excellent read, thought provoking, puts everything in perspective...could imagine myself as part of the group in the forest on a spiritual journey. Can't wait for Jim's next book release.
Interesting journey Sep 06, 2010
By GB A good read. Beautiful descriptions of nature. The author takes you on an interesting journey with new discoveries around each bend. Worth reading several times, and is great to discuss with friends.
Pleasant, thoughtful Sep 06, 2010
By Mike This book has lovely, flowing descriptions of nature in a poetic way. As someone who has read many books on Eastern thought and theology, I can appreciate the author's descriptions and symbolism. It's a fairly quick, but pleasant read. I encourage reading it twice!
Jim S's Review Jun 22, 2010
By Patrica Schwedler
"Jim Schwedler"
My first venture into Eastern thought / philosophy. Thank you, Jim. A well written book that begs for a sequel. I want to know more about these characters' journeys. Photographs, while beautiful and calming, don't seem to go with the Eastern (India) theme. They do make me want to visit the Sierra and reflect on that regions magnificence though.
