Misogynistic Christian Dogma May 27, 2009
By Alexandra When I received this book I was very disturbed to find it was a misogynistic diatribe of Christian dogma. Mr. Bryan is not a licensed therapist, psychologist or clinician of any kind. He is a hairdresser. His book is full of stereotypes and Christian dogma. For example, he writes that the man does not have to be qualified as the head of the house, God gives him this right naturally. Concerning communication between men and women, he states that "he is logical , she is emotional". Mr. Bryan quotes Bible references throughout the book and posits that women are basically put here to serve men. Instead of advocating for trust and respect between two equal partners, Mr. Bryan tells women how to be "suitable for the Man", how to "be a helper for the Man" and how to be "good for the Man". Mr. Bryan's primary point seems to be that women should not get out of their place. If you want to be taken back 100 years, buy this book.

title cooptation Mar 10, 2011
By amber taylor Interesting that this author chose the identical title, only with a different subtitle, as Lundy Bancroft's excellent book about abusers, Why Does He Do That: Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men.

"Shawne White- Holla if You Hear Me... No More Blind Dates, Please!"
I enjoyed reading this book. It reiterated somethings I already knew, but it also held a mirror up to me and made me see some things about myself that I needed to adjust. I read this book in one evening. This book is honest, spritually uplifting, and it tells it like it is. Thanks to the author for giving women the answer to that question... "Why Does He Do That?"
