German New Medicine Jun 03, 2010
By JavaMate In the book they mention clearly the fact that this theory was invented by Dr. Hamer ('German New Medicine' (GNM)). That's all I wanted to add here.
For what it's worth: my girlfriend was diagnosed with malignant breast cancer in June 2009 and a mastectomy was adviced. We've discovered GNM just in time, found and solved her conflict and left the conventional treatment completely. As to this day she's doing great. We've also altered her diet (amygdalin, pancreatic enzymes, zinc, magnesium - in short: metabolic therapy).

By D&D META-Medicine is said to be a model for diagnosing disease. Well, we all know that diagnosis is useless without a related cure - who hasn't been given a diagnosis and then informed it is chronic (meaning "incurable but not - yet - deadly")? Pretty useless, really.
META-Medicine apparently can always uncover the real cause of health problems and the various phases that they create in the body. The book goes into awkwardly explained but interesting detail about various aspects, including examples of how rings that show up in CT-scans can be used to identify the types of emotional shocks and about organs affected by certain types of shock. The authors claim to be able to resolve these causes at a deep level.
This is a potentially wonderful subject but what a let down when you get to the end and realize the book has totally failed in the second part of its subtitle "how you can solve it using META-Medicine". The author claims "I know this [an incredible speed and depth of clearing] is achievable with META-medicine, NLP, Time-Line Therapy, EFT and the use of NES emotional unblockers."
Well, like lots of us I am familiar with, and have practiced, NLP, Time-Line Therapy and EFT and was expecting this book to take us to the next level. Unfortunately, unlike most books on NLP and EFT, this book does not provide any practical tools. Pretty useless, really.
[Later notes: I feel it's important to mention the new mental/emotional/physical healing process explained in "The Healing Code" by Loyd/Johnson/Eble. There are hundreds of personal successes listed in the reviews on Amazon.com.
Here are 3 books that should be on the "top 10" of any list of books on health: "Trick and Treat", which turns upside down everything governments have told us to eat for health, "Outsmart Your Cancer", a well-researched book on alternative therapies - anything that can HEAL cancer is also a general healer and should be able to help much else in the body, and "Never Fear Cancer Again" by Raymond Francis, a brilliant distillation of what is truly needed for health.
Also, recently impressed with the supplement Papaya 35, a super concentrate with fermented pawpaw.]

This book is a MUST READ for anyone exploring mind-body connections. Feb 06, 2010
By D. Benor This book is a MUST READ for anyone exploring mind-body connections. Richard Flook, a Master Trainer in NLP, has helped to develop Meta-Medicine® a method of identifying and releasing the neuropsychological roots of pain, stress and distress.A Meta-Medicine® practitioner clarifies when and where in people's lives they were traumatized and how those traumas imprinted themselves in their bodymind to cause psychological and physical symptoms and diseases. Such shocks include the following elements: they are unexpected, dramatic and isolating, and the person has no strategy for dealing with them. Once having identified these crucial issues, a person may use any of a variety of techniques to release them, such as NLP, WHEE, EFT, etc.
What makes this approach and book unique are the brain scans which demonstrate rings in particular areas of the brain associated with the symptoms. For instance, a person with lung disease may demonstrate a ring in the area of the brain related to lung functions. This is very exciting, pioneering confirmation of the mind-body connection.
Right- or left-brain hemisphere functions may be affected by stressors. When a person experiences a major stress, this may block functions in one side or the other. When both sides are affected, symptoms are more likely to manifest. Making it a point to identify and clear symptoms related to each side of the brain and clearing both leads to rapid releases of the symptoms and illnesses.
I was fortunate to be able to work with Richard at the Healing the Healers Conference in Iceland in October, 2009. Richard helped a woman identify traumatic issues in her life that manifested in bodymiind expressions as a bipolar disorder. We used WHEE to release aspects of these issues, and hopefully will be able to observe changes in the course of this woman's life.
I have one serious criticism, however, of Richard's theoretical framework. He identifies the levels of Mind, Body, Spirit, Social and Environment as defining a person's life experiences. Do you notice any important element missing? In my personal experience and in helping others resolve their life challenges, difficult Emotions are crucial to identify and resolve.
This is a landmark book that will be a help to anyone seeking to understand and address the mysteries of health and illness.
Why am I sick Nov 02, 2011
By Charkee The book is useful, but a bit wordy. If you are new to New German Medicine it may be just right for you. Dr. Flook does admit that Dr. Hamer's discoveries are the basis of Meta-medicine, which is a great improvement, now he can't be accused of plagiarism.
The book goes into reading brain CT scans, which other books on the same subject tend to avoid.
Dr. Flook does take it a few steps further than Dr. Hamer in dealing with epigenetic issues.

MIND-BOGGLING BREAKTHROUGH Nov 09, 2010
By Annie O'Grady The ultimate in mind-body medicine -- how CT-scans point to precise emotional causes of illnesses, and information on how to resolve these causes at a deep level. I enjoyed the case histories, the new information, and Richard's thorough approach.
