Set in Souteast Georgia in the fifties, the saga of a young Yankee removing himself from a future in big business, how he resues a country girl from a life of loneliness. A hate filled red neck father in law that continually aggravated his daughter and son in law. Her super high emotions when their kidnapped son was rescued. Her problem having to deal with black women. The Yankees' success in carrying on a normal life while his jealous father in law tries to destroy him. The father in law loses his final attempt at revenge by his daughters hand.
