Rather, it is more a handbook of inquiry . . . .

My reflections on the quotations in these pages are simply that: my particular interpretations of the ideas and insights presented, which the reader may or may not find useful.

In the end, my aspiration for those that read this book is that its content will (as indeed happened to me during its composition) stimulate contemplation and introspection or; in a word, thought.

I received this book through Goodreads First Reads. Fantastic! Food for the soul every day of the year. My favorites are those that remind us to look around, see things around us fresh and with the eyes of a child. This book will stay on my "currently reading" list for many years to come.

This book is the kind that you leave on the coffee table to pick up and put down at leisure. The quotes are really well chosen and the commentary expands nicely on the topic of the quote.
