Divorce and separation from a loved one can be a real challenge. But Brian Daniel's book will help you make the best of it! He'll show you how he handled the negative issues, then help you to see and enjoy the many more upsides that are there for you too. By using positive thinking and trying some new things-to-do, YOU can make this challenge in life YOUR second chance for a happier and more enjoyable life. The following book review is from GiGi Konwin from Self Help Products Review on July 22, 2008. "Here's a positive approach to a very difficult time. Although the book is about divorce, it could easily be applied to any negative life circumstance. Grieving is a natural part of any life loss, however I've seen people that never fully recover even years after their divorce or loss. Brian was able to have a positive attitude quickly and you can too! Full of useful advice and practical examples, this book should be more about living ANY life in a positive way. Don't wait for a negative event to put his ideas to use!"

5Wow! There are positive sides of divorce and separation!  Oct 10, 2008
By K. Fisher
I was really down and somewhat depressed about my separation and divorce. But this book has made me feel much better and more confident about myself as I go my way alone now. Seeing how someone else felt badly- just like me- but how they could recover and grow to be a better person helped me to move on too. This book has shown me that there are, in fact, many new and positive things to do to enjoy in this second chance at life for me. I have just a couple more chapters left to go, but wanted to share how much this book has helped lift my spirits and see the many positive sides of my divorce. I'll definitely recommend this book to my friends and relatives!

5A book that will validate what you are thinking and feeling.  Feb 18, 2011
By C. Casteel
The advice in this book has been indispensable in helping me move on during and after my divorce. The author validates what I have been thinking and feeling. He gave me permission to do the things I thought were the right things to do. I truly believe that there is a life after divorce and that it is up to us to decide what kind of life that will be. This book tells one how to move on with ones life and to let go of the past. Great book and I highly recommend it.

4Be of good cheer - there are better days ahead  May 19, 2009
By C. Koelker "Physician"
If you are experiencing the acute pain of divorce, this book will lighten your heart and give you hope for better days ahead.

Written in a cheerful, conversational tone, the author's advice rings true as he speaks of overcoming the pitfalls of divorce. He shows how to rid oneself of anger and keep peace in a difficult situation. He reviews the timeline that recovery from divorce usually follows and offers hope that, yes, one day skies will be blue again.

But beyond waiting for that day to occur, the author encourages those suffering from divorce to take a proactive role in their recovery. He offers dozens of suggestions to help one move forward, no matter how bleak today may appear.

Though you may not have control over your divorce, you do have control over how you approach your future. And though your life may not be the one you had foreseen, you now have the opportunity to explore aspects of yourself that you never would have otherwise.

So be of good cheer, your heart will mend, and someday you will see the upside of divorce.

The format of the book needs a little more "white space" to delineate the various sections, but it is highly readable and I recommend it to those in the midst of a divorce, or the first few years thereafter.

5Great advice for making your new life after divorce great.  May 06, 2009
By Tracy Achen "Tracy"
This is a book anyone looking to regroup after a divorce should read. It discusses the real emotions that many people face after divorce such as depression, anger, and feeling like a failure as you rehash all the mistakes from your marriage. It validates that what you are feeling is a natural part of going through a divorce, and gives lots of tips for stopping the bad thoughts that can take over in your mind so that you can focus on moving forward.

As the author gently points out, you can't change the past so you might as well make the best of the present. The second half of the book talks about embracing and welcoming the changes in your life. This includes getting started dating again and giving yourself permission to enjoy the infatuation of a new relationship. When you choose happiness over regrets and begin to step out of your comfort zone, you can truly enjoy the life that you're living. The book gently guides you through techniques to help you grow and become the best you can be so that your divorce can actually be your second chance to live the life you choose.

5I wish this author good luck- saw his craigslist ad  May 05, 2010
By Christian Cowles
Sounds like a good book, and seems like a new author just trying to succeed. I think it sounds good for people in a divorce that believe a self-help book could lighten your burden.
