Yolla: The Moonbird Chronicles

This is a lyrical, historical novel for the reader who likes to be challenged with serious, thought provoking, but also entertaining fiction. Yolla is a seabird, both singularly and en masse. At times it is deep thinking and poetical, and at other times struttingly quarrelsome and irritating, offering a feisty Greek Chorus to the tragedies that it witnesses. Over the aeons Yolla has connected, without their knowledge, two diverse civilizations at diametrically opposite ends of the earth. Mintuci and Tanganlyer, matriarchs of their race, narrate the stories of their families, even after death. These stories follow the lives of their people, from harmonious living within the balance of nature to the violent and annihilating invasion of their ancient ways of life. The omnipresent Yolla watches these events, powerless to intervene, but with increasing alarm at the destructiveness of humans. It even fears for its own existence.
