Wonderful Outlook on Life! Feb 06, 2005
By Sylvan Green
"Seeker"
Daniel Thomas McAney has written a book that will change your perspective! I didn't want this book to end! This book helped me so much through a difficult time with Fibromyalgia. I guess it would help through any difficulty such as that. I found myself actually filled with WONDER at life again. Read it, you won't be sorry!

Super Positive! Feb 26, 2006
By Anne McAneny This book is filled with positive messages. The first half covers a range of beliefs that are out there while the second half introduces original, positive ideas by Mr. McAneny. You'll love the Big You.

A Clear, Well-Researched and Encouraging Book Nov 07, 2010
By phileana This is an excellent book that does many things, and ties them all together coherently. It's a very clear, well-written, easy-to-read review of the evidence in the last 100 years that we survive physical death. I have read many books on the subject, but McAneny introduced me to much I had not known, and he provides an extensive bibliography so you can go find the sources he refers to. He then reviews the evidence from conventional science that reality is not what it superficially seems to be. While not profound--that's not his aim--his discussion is accurate and sensible. He then goes on to a discussion of the nature of reality, based in large part on the Seth material. Finally, based on all this and more, he makes a strong case for a positive outlook on life that is both backed by evidence and will be of real help in hard times. In my opinion, he succeeds. He covers a lot, from metaphysics to self-help, and does it amazingly well. I have owned this book for several years, and each time I reread it, I enjoy it, learn from it, and feel strengthened and encouraged by it.
The only reason I don't give it five stars is that, at the end of the book, the author gives his point of view on a wide range of contemporary issues. While I have no huge differences with him--in fact, I agree with him much of the time--, this part is both a bit amateurish, and a bit off-topic, and weakens an otherwise excellent book, in my opinion.
