$tealing Atlanta

BRANDYN WOOD is totally conflicted. He follows the rules as an airline captain, then he breaks all the rules with his coconspirators chasing his childhood dream of achieving total freedom. SMOOTH the legendary con man, SUMMER the sexy, brilliant PhD, MYSTY the ex-Navy Seal, CRACKHEAD the master machine wizard, VALERI the glam-uber-fence and her friends in the Russian Mafiya. They decides to go for the big score, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. It isn’t just an ordinary bank job––it’s the bank job of all time! His mark is Chairman PORTEND ULYSSES BUFORD. The con begins at the High Museum and continues through the Fox Theatre, Centennial Park, Atlanta International Airport, CNN, and Goth and Fetish clubs. The Federal Reserve Bank’s computers are hacked from the Cyberthief Command Center on Freeland. Almost everyone who made it to the island is safe, non-extraditable, and very, very rich. The casinos are full of high-rollers. The fetish club is packed––worshipping room only. The FBI, CIA, NSA circle the beaches like sharks. Brandon is resurrected from the dead and reunites with Mai. The dream is complete. Life is good. It’s good to be King!

I really enjoyed reading this book . From the moment I picked it up, I could not put it down until I finished it. Stone's description of his characters is so detailed and so clear, that the reader can create the perfect image of each of them, in his head. The book is interesting ,captivating, and funny. At the same time,it is "real" in the sense that each character is unique , with a unique personality, flows and gifts. "Stealing Atlanta" is about life; about choosing, about decisions we make on a daily basis, and the strugles that go on inside of us.The constant comments in "itallic"showing the reader Brandyn thoughts, are particularly helpful and bring us back to the"here and now" .Most of the time the reader finds himself experiencing the same thoughts and feelings, therefore identifying with the main character of the book. YOu cannot not like Brandyn.. While taking huge risks, he is also meticulous and plans his moves very carefully .
I loved this book, and woould highly recommend it.
