the Twelve

THE TWELVE, a supernatural murder mystery. The story begins in Los Angeles with the brutal killing of an eccentric Beverly Hills billionaire. The man's dogs are blamed for the attack. The case would have been closed happily by Detective Lt. Bob Dandridge except for one thing. The killing was witnessed by a psychic who saw the murder through the eyes of the killer. She tells her nightmare to a young reporter who believes her and forces an investigation to be opened by the reluctant detective or he will go public with the story. This joins the three of them together, on a case that will shake their beliefs to the core as they get closer to the truth. Kirkus Reviews says 'Eerily suspenseful and masterfully penned, Kennedy's debut is reminiscent of Stephen King with Paranormal events that creatively form the elements of a memorable suspense-thriller.... that catapults this novel to first- rate status'.

I can just recommend this book highly. The minute I started it, I could hardly put it down again and finished it in a few days. Truly captivating story, well written. Would make a great movie, too.

5Watch out Stephen King  Nov 06, 2007
By A. Hefler "Thrill Seeker"
I am a huge fan of suspense thrillers and loved this book - I heard the author on a radio show and liked what he had to say, his love of the genre, and his background in film. In any case, the book's combination of crime, supernatural events and excellent writing all add up to a really good read. It's hard to believe this is a first novel - let's hope Mr. Kennedy keeps writing!

5Highly recommend the book the Twelve  Dec 07, 2011

1Oh so dissappointed!  Aug 27, 2008
By J. D. Hodge
This "first" novel read like a draft. I was so looking forward to reading it based on the reviews on Amazon. The premise of a supernational murder mystery appealed to me but the story borrowed too much from from tv shows ,other horror authors. I just couldn't care about the protagonists or the victims. Great book cover, though!
